Op-Ed: Molly’s Angels seeks drivers for elder care

Molly’s Angels has been helping neighbors since 1999. Molly’s Angels mission is to empower older adults to lead lives filled with confidence, dignity and integrity, ensuring their access to essential services and opportunities.
Their services include transportation to and from medical appointments for ambulatory clients, and weekly “Care Calls” for residents of both Napa and Solano Counties.
There is a great need for volunteers for the transportation program. In American Canyon alone, there are 80-plus individuals that use the transportation service and only two drivers. As you can imagine, it is sometimes challenging to get everyone who needs a ride to an appointment to their appointment.
This is where you come in. Molly’s Angels is always looking for volunteer drivers. As a driver myself, I can attest that is a very rewarding experience. People are always very appreciative and I have had the chance to meet some wonderful humans.
Please consider giving Molly’s Angels a call to ask about becoming a volunteer driver. Please call 707-224-8971 to find out more.
