This past Sunday, the Coop by Hoopes offered another fun pop-up event featuring dishes by Fernay McPherson, chef/owner of Minnie Bell’s Soul Food restaurant. We had enjoyed the experience before and brought our friend Brandon Tagle to join us. It often seems like a family affair at The Coop on weekends, with Lindsay Hoopes, husband Miten and their four little ones in tow!

Lindsay’s dad was there this time, as well as some of the family’s friends and folks from Yountville. It was fun to see Majel and Conrad Arnold, Judy Hadfield and Adrienne Witt at one of the tables. It had the feeling of an intergenerational happening!

We love Minnie Bell’s Po Boys and banana brûlée, but went light this time with veggie frittatas, that came with a fresh fruit cup.  We left with bags of heirloom tomatoes and lemon cucumbers. There are discounts for locals on food, beverages and veggies at The Coop, so it is always a tasty, affordable and good time.
