La Onda Latin Music Festival canceled

La Onda, the Napa Valley Latin music festival scheduled for May 30 and 31, was abruptly cancelled on Monday, Feb. 23.
No explanation was given in the announcement, which was posted on the website. It did note that refunds for tickets already purchased would be refunded within 30 days.
The cancellation came just weeks after announcing the 2026 line-up, led by Maná, J Balvin, Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Christian Nodal.
It would have been the third year for the hugely popular festival, launched in 2024 by the Latitude 38, the producers of BottleRock Napa Valley. In past years, La Onda has drawn thousands to Napa Valley.
“It’s time,” Napa natives Dave Graham, Justin Dragoo, and Jason Scoggins when they announced the new festival, which took place the weekend after BottleRock. The trio said they had decided to create a Latin music festival in response to many requests from BottleRock fans.
Like BottleRock, La Onda combined stellar food and beverages with the entertainment line-up, bringing regional chefs and restaurateurs to serve a variety of Latin culinary offerings, as well as beer, wine, cocktails and other beverages.
The festival continued in 2025, despite worries about immigration round-ups. Several high-profile Mexican performers, most notably Grupo Firme, were forced to cancel their performances at the 2025 La Onda festival in Napa Valley, California, due to U.S. visa issues and suspensions.
“We remain hopeful that a future Festival La Onda will be possible,” the announcement read. “Until then we are proud of what we created and deeply grateful to the fans who supported La Onda.
