Dear Editor,

The time has come for me to pass the “tongs” and allow the next person the opportunity to head up the Yountville Community Thanksgiving. These past years have been amazing in allowing me to give back to my community.

Just so you know, the Yountville Community Thanksgiving is entirely run and supported by individuals in the Yountville community. It is individuals who volunteer, cook, serve, deliver, and make this yearly event happen. Businesses donate. The town of Yountville donates. It is a great community we live in.

I am putting this out now so there is ample time for a transition to ensure this tradition continues. I have plenty of information and details to share. The Yountville Community Foundation has reopened the Imagine Yountville Grant Program for Round 2 of applications, hoping to distribute more funds in 2026. The application period will open on February 11 and close on March 12.

Many in our community benefit from and look forward to this gathering and delivery.

Thanks to all who have helped, and an even bigger thanks to those who step up for the future of this event.
