Yountville Town Council member Robin McKee has been appointed to the Napa County Commission on Aging (COA). She took the oath of office in December for a term that begins Jan. 26 and runs through September 2028.

The Napa County Commission on Aging is an advisory board that advocates for the county’s senior population to help them maintain a good quality of life and remain independent as long as possible by increasing awareness of the issues facing older adults and their care givers, and by influencing public policy through regular reports to the Board of Supervisors. The commission meets monthly, and McKee has selected to serve on the public relations committee, helping to organize meetings in various cities and towns throughout the county, and to write articles and utilize social media in efforts to support awareness of commission goals and awareness.

“I’m honored to represent Yountville, where our average age is 63+, and where we have all ranges of economic demographics,” McKee said. “Supporting Yountville seniors and ensuring their needs and voices are heard at the county level is an important priority for me.”

McKee brings experience working in legal and finance industries, where training on possible financial exploitation was a requirement. She also works and volunteers for Molly’s Angels and recently received her certification in a multi-day program called “Mental Health Awareness for Older Adults.

For more information on the Commission on Aging, or any town of Yountville projects, ideas or concerns, McKee is hosting “Monday Matters,” an open forum for meeting and discussion on Mondays. She can be reached for scheduling at [email protected] or 707-364-0409.
