In this week’s Sun: Yountville’s share of the regional housing needs from 2024 to 2032 is 70 units (a mix of market-rate and moderate- and low-income), but there aren’t many places left to build. The Town has received an application for one of the larger parcels remaining – 1980 Yountville Crossroad – to subdivide the lot and build eight single-family homes, each with an accessory dwelling unit.
Also, after several controversial tree removals, the town is proposing changes to its tree ordinance to require that a town arborist be hired to help with tree evaluations and reviews. Another change would implement a yet-to-be-determined time period for public notice regarding tree removals.
