In the news this week:

The Town Council pushes back on elements of a proposed nine-home subdivision, asking developers Terry and Mary MacRae to revise the design of two units for the sake of neighbor privacy and to return for a decision on the project on June 18.

Another building project – this one a request to build a combination retail/residential building on two vacant parcels at Humboldt and Washington streets – will be reviewed by the town’s Zoning and Design Review Board on Tuesday.

Finally, meet Jamie Neely, an Army veteran and transgender woman who, in less than a year of living at the Yountville Veterans Home, was elected chair of its Allied Council and is working to improve the lives of the residents who live there.
