Letter to the Editor – Council member thanks residents, invites forum on Commons project on Feb. 22

I would like to publicly thank the many residents who attended the Study Session regarding the Yountville Commons Project. It was heartening to see so many people who live and work in Yountville attend the meeting, express their concerns and voice their support for workforce housing.

I am hosting a forum on Sunday Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. in the Locals Lounge (back of Yountville Fitness) at Schmidt Hall to discuss the new information and get feedback from residents and others who are interested.

I very much appreciate the Sun’s ongoing publication of information about this project. It is an old idea that “democracy dies in darkness,” and I am grateful that the Sun is shining in our community.
