Letter to the Editor – Former Yountvillager praises Sun’s balanced coverage of Town Council

Sun Letters to the Editor Graphic

Dear Madam Editor –

Thank you for doing a a stellar job keeping the Yountville community informed. It’s only a local paper that can be on the ground and fully understand and report on the issues affecting the local residents and businesses. No matter how small a government is, though, it can still make decisions that just miss.  Even trying to do best by the community, it can become insulated.  That’s where the Yountville Sun comes in. Kim Cook, reporting on the Council, does an excellent job purely reporting during some tense times recently without letting her opinion influence her writing. She certainly has the right to periodically offer an opinion piece, clearly noted as opinion. Since its inception, the Sun has offered that option to its writers.  It’s always been respected and, hopefully, always will be. That’s what makes a newspaper an honored tradition.

Sincerely,

Former Yountvillager
