Letter to the Editor: Residents express support

Dear Editor and fellow Yountvillagers:
As Yountville residents who care deeply about the future of our community, we are writing to express our strong support for Robin McKee’s re-election to the Town Council.
Since her election in November 2022, including her service as vice mayor in 2025, Robin has demonstrated a practical, detail-oriented working style. She approaches town governance with a focus on tangible results and careful oversight, taking the time to thoroughly review proposals to ensure they align with the community’s best interests. She is passionate, she listens, and she fights for what she believes is right.
Her individual record over her first term clearly highlights this commitment. When developers proposed a gated community, Robin firmly pushed back, specifically working to ensure that proposed rooflines would not negatively impact existing neighbors. She has consistently supported local businesses as they seek to responsibly expand their footprint, and she has been a steadfast advocate for our community in holding PG&E accountable for outages. Robin is the councilmember residents call when they want a problem fixed.
These qualities — care, diligence and a willingness to ask tough questions — are precisely what Yountville requires right now. The next council will have a significant amount on its plate. They must continue working to secure safe and reliable energy and water for the town’s residents and businesses. They will also need to engage with county and state officials to ensure Yountville, rather than Sacramento, remains in control of our housing density mandates. If the town is unable to provide the required number of affordable housing units, we may face huge fines and/or the “Builders’ Remedy” where the state hires a developer to build however and whatever to provide that required housing. Furthermore, the council must address the growing needs of our aging population, carefully balancing those priorities with the needs of the business community, which is the engine that keeps Yountville humming.
Experience matters in this election. Robin McKee possesses the firsthand knowledge necessary to lead Yountville forward thoughtfully and respectfully. We hope you will join us in supporting her re-election to the Town Council.
Sincerely,
Iren & Ted Jenny
