Letter to the Editor: Town commissioner makes endorsement

Sun Letters to the Editor Graphic

Dear Editor,

If anyone attended the 9-11 commemoration or saw the Sept. 15 Town Council meeting, I hope you agree Mayor Margie Mohler always comports herself as a serious leader. Her speech at the commemoration really met the moment, as do all her speeches in the public sphere. She ran a long and detailed meeting a couple weeks ago and respectfully gave everyone a chance to weigh in before she chose to speak. Her questions and comments were of substance, showing a strong grasp of the material.

I admire Margie for her mental acuity, her even temperament and her ability to make decisions based on principle and community interests. She has weathered some rocky times on the Town Council and has consistently maintained her poise, professionalism and integrity.

Margie Mohler has been endorsed for another term as mayor of Yountville by Congressman Mike Thompson, Assembly Member Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, Supervisor Anne Cottrell and all the mayors in the Napa Valley. These endorsements speak volumes for her relationships and respect she has from other elected officials. Her 18 years working with our veterans has not been politically motivated but has been heartfelt.

I hope you’ll join me in voting for Margie Mohler to be mayor of Yountville for the next four years.

Myrna David
