Napa County Farm Bureau earns national recognition for education series

Napa County Farm Bureau’s Continuing Education Series has been selected as one of 23 national winners in the American Farm Bureau Federation’s 2026 County Activities of Excellence program.

The organization announced this week that it was the only county farm bureau in California and on the West Coast selected for the recognition. The federation received 207 entries nationwide.

The series brings together agricultural experts, researchers and regulatory agencies to help local producers understand pesticide-use requirements, pest management and compliance with California Department of Pesticide Regulation rules.

“We work hard to deliver value to our Farm Bureau members,” said Ernie Ilsley, Napa County Farm Bureau board president and Yountville resident. “Our continuing education classes give our members just that, exactly the information they need, when they need it, at an affordable price. We couldn’t be prouder that the American Farm Bureau recognizes this effort.”

The national awards recognize innovative county farm bureau programs that support agriculture and engage members and communities. Winning activities will be showcased at the 2027 American Farm Bureau Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Napa County series continues this fall with classes on pesticide use, pest management and regulatory topics. For information and registration, visit napafarmbureau.org/continuing-education.
