In this week’s Sun, we report on the start of a new venture, Farm Stand, a mini farmer’s market-type event that will be held every Tuesday and Thursday morning in Yountville’s Community Center Plaza. The market, a partnership between the town and Lindsay Hoopes of Hoopes Vineyard and Winery, opened this week.

Also this week, the Town Council agreed with a Napa Valley Transportation Authority plan to change Measure T, a half-cent sales tax increase approved by Napa County voters in 2012 with nearly 75 percent support. Ultimately, the proposal will go before voters this November.
