Late-breaking news in the Sun is that Yountville Veterans Home administrator Lisa Peake announced her retirement during a meeting this week of the Home’s Allied Council. No official word yet from the Veterans Home or Cal Vet.

We also report on an important wildfire mitigation project taking place on the Veterans Home’s 600-acre campus that will help ensure residents there can shelter in place in the event of surrounding wildfires.
