Thursday, Sept. 12

An entire generation has grown up since Sept. 11, 2001, when 2,977 people were killed in the deadliest terrorist attack in American history. Even children who weren’t born the day the twin towers fell still learn about it in school and attend annual memorials, like the one held at Station 12 this week, to pay their respects to the fallen. Hear from a few of them in our story in this week’s Sun.

Also this week, town leaders struggled a bit with the appropriateness of memorializing George Yount with a life-sized bronze statue in front of Town Hall. Read about their discussions and how they plan to handle the $80,000 sculpture, a gift from a local resident.

In other news, the Hope & Grace wine tasting room is moving from its longtime spot in the Edward James Courtyard to the R+D Kitchen’s Washington Square, and the Estate Yountville is changing up its signage.
