Yountville reports temporary water pressure issues amid supply change

Some Yountville water customers experienced lower-than-normal water pressure Tuesday morning following a temporary change in the town’s water supply, according to town officials.

The town said its primary water supplier, Cal-Vet, is addressing operational issues at the Rector Water Treatment Plant. As a result, Yountville transitioned to water supplied by the city of Napa on Tuesday morning, Sept. 8.

Officials emphasized that Yountville’s water remains safe to drink and use and that customers do not need to take any action.

Town utility staff were managing the distribution system and officials said water pressure was returning to its normal range. Staff will continue monitoring the system and maintaining water pressure while Cal-Vet works to resume regular operations at the Rector plant.
