Sheriff's Office thanks community for Yountville Night Out

Napa County Sheriff Oscar Ortiz and I would like to thank the emergency responders, volunteers and Town of Yountville staff who helped make Yountville Night Out 2026 this past Tuesday a success.

Sheriff Ortiz and I visited each neighborhood block party with other community leaders, thanking residents for participating and emphasizing the importance of knowing their neighbors.

Volunteers with the Napa County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team also participated in the event. Dressed in neon orange shirts, team members visited each block party, introduced themselves and shared information about the types of calls they respond to throughout Napa County and California.

We followed, riding with the Napa County Sheriff’s Posse, a volunteer organization that supports the Sheriff’s Office. I am honored to oversee both the Search and Rescue Team and the Posse, as well as Yountville Sheriff’s Office operations.

Sheriff Ortiz also encouraged Yountville’s residents to attend National Night Out from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Napa Valley College in Napa.
