Another dog adoption: Ginger is heading to Texas

Ginger didn’t stay in Yountville for long. The bright orange mosaic dog sculpture at the corner of Washington and Yount streets is heading to Texas by the end of the month.

Like her predecessor, Rocky, Ginger was created by North Carolina sculptor Elizabeth Laul Healy. He arrived in Yountville just over a month ago, but her eye-catching orange color and the words “Don’t Stop Believing” emblazoned across her chest have already captured someone’s heart.

Art Commission Chair Ronda Schaer coordinated the sale and is arranging the move to Austin Texas.

Healy generously brought Ginger to Yountville as a replacement for Rocky, who recently found a new home in Napa. Apparently, these pups don’t sit and stay for long.

The Yountville Art Commission receives a commission from the sale of Art Walk sculptures, with the proceeds supporting its work throughout town.

Safe travels, Ginger! Keep your eyes out for another dog coming to town soon.
