Yountville’s North Block spotlights guest chefs in new summer dining series

“Keys to the Kitchen,” a new chef collaboration series at North Block Hotel in Yountville, will bring together Bay Area culinary talent for a rotating lineup of tasting menu experiences this summer.

The series, presented by The Restaurant at North Block, is designed to spotlight seasonal California products and globally inspired flavors.

Each installment will feature a visiting chef who will create a multi-course tasting menu. The series opens June 5 with a collaboration between Chef Phillip Moratin of the Mosaic Hotel Collection and Azalina’s chef and owner Azalina Eusope.

The dinner will blend Malaysian flavors with a California approach, featuring spices, coconut, aromatic ingredients and locally sourced produce. The menu is described as a balance of vibrant heat, delicate technique and Bay Area freshness.

The June 5 dinner at North Block is $90 per person, with reservations encouraged through OpenTable here. The collaboration will continue on June 26 when Moratin joins Eusope’s kitchen in San Francisco for a second installment.
