Yountville hotel tax revenue hits record in June, up 25% over last year

Yountville collected a record $971,724 in transient occupancy tax (TOT) revenue in June, a nearly 25% increase from the same month last year, according to a press release from the town.

June collections were $193,526 higher than June 2025 and exceeded Yountville’s monthly revenue estimate of $895,600 by more than $76,000.

The increase was attributed to stronger hotel occupancy and higher room rates. Yountville hotels reported a 73% occupancy rate in June, up from 64% a year earlier. The average room rate increased to $821 from $751 in June 2025.

The beginning of the June reporting period also included hotel stays associated with the Liquidity Summit, hosted by the “All-In” podcast. Events connected with the summit continued throughout Yountville through June 2.

With the June revenue, Yountville finished fiscal year 2025-26 at 102.7% of its adopted TOT revenue estimate.

TOT, commonly known as a hotel tax, is collected on overnight lodging stays and is a significant source of revenue for town services and operations in Yountville.
