Yountville Night Out strengthens neighborhood connections
Residents gathered at neighborhood block parties across town for Yountville Night Out on July 28, the town’s annual community-building event held as part of the National Night Out campaign.
Unlike many communities that host a single event, Yountville celebrated with seven neighborhood gatherings and a community event at the Yountville Community Center, bringing together residents, law enforcement, firefighters, emergency responders and town staff to promote neighborhood connections, public safety and emergency preparedness.
Mayor Margie Mohler said the neighborhood format reflects Yountville’s close-knit character.
“While many cities celebrate National Night Out with one large event, Yountville chose a different approach by bringing the celebration directly into our neighborhoods,” Mohler said, “It was inspiring to see residents building new friendships and deepening existing connections. This year’s theme, Connected Hearts, serves as a reminder that a strong and resilient community is built one relationship at a time.”
Town Clerk Hilary Gaede called Yountville Night Out one of her favorite community events.
“It’s all about bringing neighbors together,” Gaede said. “It was great to see so many people out connecting, having fun and celebrating what makes our community so special.”
