The Coop rolls into spring with fresh menu, local flavor

The Coop is ushering in spring with a seasonal menu and expanded offerings.
A collaboration between Hoopes Vineyard and the town of Yountville, The Coop offers a casual menu of pastries, coffee, wine, soups, sandwiches and weekly specials, with ingredients sourced from Hoopes Vineyard’s Oasis Garden and the Yountville Farmstand Garden. Shoppers can also purchase fresh produce, eggs, preserves, house-made sauces and other local goods.
Now entering its second season, the farmstand and community gathering space has added menu items including fresh spring rolls and a spring soupe au pistou.
“The fresh spring rolls will have pickled vegetables from the Oasis Garden, along with an assortment of fresh herbs and house-made dipping sauces that pack a sweet heat kick,” said Culinary Director Amy Nguyen. She said the soupe au pistou, a French-style garden bean soup, highlights peas and chard, and is topped with a pesto made from green garlic and arugula “for a vibrant and herbaceous finish.”

Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Twilight happy hour runs from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays.
Yountville residents receive 50% off produce, eggs and coffee, and 20% off hot food and wines by the glass. In the coming months, the Coop plans a summer lineup of activities for kids, rotating guest chefs, live music and pop-up events.
