In this week’s Sun, Highway 29 Media’s Mariela Gomez reports on findings by the AARP Public Policy Institute that the average number of unhealthy air quality days per year nearly tripled in Napa County over the past decade, and an uptick in wildfires is likely the leading contributor.

We also report on the Aug. 29 arrest of Yountville resident Artem Chigvintsev, 42, on charges of domestic violence. The Napa County District Attorney’s Office says it is reviewing the case against the former “Dancing with the Stars” pro to determine whether prosecution is warranted.
